Simple Two Tone Watermark Stamping With Wild Roses

Two Tone Watermark Stamping
I took the two tone idea from the sketch and created a simple card with Watermark Stamping. I challenged myself to also use two ink pads colours we hardly use. So the colours I opted for were Rococo Rose and Terracotta Tile. I replaced the heart topper for a Rectangle Stitched element. Then added the ribbon and sentiment banner in Bumblebee.
I used cards for Layer 1 and ink pads to colour the topper. Stamping your ink pads on cards is a great technique for new and juicy ink pads. You can then easily achieve the two tone watermark stamping with a Versamark ink pad!
How To Create a Two Tone Watermark Stamping Card
Metric Measurements
- Cardbase: 10.5cm x 29.2cm – folded in half at 14.6cm
- Rococo Rose Layer 1 (top half): 9.5cm x 6.8cm
- Terracotta Tile Layer 1 (bottom half): 9.5cm x 6.8cm
- Basic White Layer 2: 7.9cm x 11.4cm
- Basic White Layer 3: 10.5cm x 14.6cm
- Bumblebee Sentiment Banner: 8.5cm x 1.5cm
Imperial Measurements
- Cardbase: 4-1/4″ x 11″ – folded in half at 5-1/2″
- Rococo Rose Layer 1 (top half): 3-7/8″ x 2-9/16″
- Terracotta Tile Layer 1 (bottom half): 3-7/8″ x 2-9/16″
- Basic White Layer 2: 3-1/8″ x 4-1/2″
- Basic White Layer 3: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
- Bumblebee Sentiment Banner: 3-1/2″ x 5/8″
Directions
- Adhere the Rococo Rose and Terracotta Tile card layers on the cardbase.
- Wrap the Bumblebee Ribbon and adhere at the front with Tear & Tape.
- Stamp the Rococo Rose and Terracotta Tile ink pads on the Layer 3 card.
- Then stamp Wild Roses design on top using Versamark ink pad.
- Die cut with Rectangle Stitched or cut down to 7.6cm x 11.1cm | 3″ x 4-3/8″
- Adhere both Layer 2 and Layer 3 cards flat together. Then on the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment from You Are Amazing in Jet Black StazOn towards the left hand side of the Bumblebee card strip.
- Adhere the sentiment on the card front then finish with the two Bumblebee Enamel Dots.
