Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here sharing card ideas with Jar of Flowers stamp set for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop.
If you’re following the hop already, you may have arrived here from Painted Orange by Charlet Mallett. Her work is always stunning and I can’t wait to see all the the crew’s projects with the Jar of Flowers stamp set. So be sure to hop all the way around by clicking the ‘Next Blog’ button at the end of this blog post for more inspirations or head to Stamp Review Crew blog for the full crew list.
Jar of Flowers Stamp Set
The Jar of Flowers set belongs to the Flowers for Every Season Suite. You can find it on pages 10-12 in the Annual Catalogue. It is a Reversible set with 9 photopolymer image designs. It also coordinates with the Jar Punch and can be ordered as a Bundle with a saving of 10%.
For my card ideas, I coloured the floral images with Stampin’ Blends Markers and used Repeat Stamping technique. I also used Make A Difference stamp set for the sentiment. Which also allows for further card customisation with the alphabet scripts in the set.
Jar of Flowers Card 1
For this card, I stamped the sunflower design on Whisper White card in Memento ink. The colours of Stampin’ Blends Markers I used were: Mango Melody, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider and Basic Black. I also used the Misty Moonlight to add splatters on the Whisper White Thick card base. The Stampin’ Chalk Marker adds highlights and interest on the topper as well.
The design on the diagonal strips comes from repeat stamping the stalks design in the set. Stamped on Whisper White card with Memento ink then cut into strips of 1cm or 3/8″. I then added the strip of Just Jade card and the sentiment on Magenta Madness card. Finishing off with the Flowers for Every Season Gems.
Jar of Flowers Card 2
I used the same colouring techniques for this 2nd card with a different floral design from the set. The flowers were coloured in the same blends as the last card with the addition of Magenta Madness. I then used the oval design from Stitched Shapes Dies to create the topper.
I added the repeatedly stamped stalks on Whisper White card on the Basic Black layer. The Magenta Madness In Color Ribbonon was then wrapped around both before adding on the Smoky Slate cardbase.
I kept it simple by using the same sentiment from Make A Difference set then finished off with the clear epoxy drops adhered using Fine Tip Glue.
Jar of Flowers Card 3
For this final card, I used the help of the Stamparatus stamping tool to achieve the repeat stamping for the background in Memento ink. I used a different floral image again but coloured with the same blends markers and chalk marker for the highlights.
The Jar Punch I used on Vellum card twice so the striped background is not too striking through the jar. I added colour on the top Vellum using Misty Moonlight blends and inserted the stalks in between the Vellum jars.
The Just Jade In Color Ribbon I used under the Bumblebee card stock for the sentiment then finished with the clear epoxy drops.
I hope you are inspired with these projects and colour with the Stampin’ Blends. Don’t forget to come back and order any Stampin’ Up! products online from Mitosu Crafts or from your local Stamp Review Crew Design Team.
