Happy Tails and Nine Lives ~ Stamp Review Crew
Thank you for stopping by. It’s Jay here with a couple of projects with the Happy Tails stamp set for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop.
It’s been a month since I’ve hopped with the talented Stamp Review Crew and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the crew have created with either Happy Tails or Nine Lives or both!
If you’re following the hop already you would have arrived here from Cindy Elam’s blog. Please continue along the hop by clicking the ‘Next Blog’ button at the end of this blog post to see all the crew’s project ideas.
Happy Tails Christmas Milk Box
We have homemade chutneys to give as gifts for Christmas which Barry made a month ago. He’s always loved Christmas and gets so excited! He was playing around with creating a box for the chutneys last week which I decorated here for my first project.
This prototype milk box that Barry made stands 5″ x 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″. Barry already added the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate when I got my paws on it 🙂
I wrapped Very Vanilla / Copper Classic Weave Ribbon around the box adhered by Mini Glue Dots. To keep the decoration simple and clean, I just stamped the dog from Happy Tails set in Memento Ink. The co-ordinating Dog Builder Punch was very handy which also punched the heart in Real Red Glimmer Paper.
For the closure, I used a binder clip and feed through the hole Cherry Cobbler Diagonal Stripe Ribbon. The Real Red Glimmer Sprig was also tied using strands from Flax Ribbon. I added another strand with punched hearts on both ends before adhering the stamped sentiment and paw to hide the joints.
Happy Tails Christmas Card
My card was inspired by the Christmas Milk Box and I used the same materials as before with a few additions.
I embossed the card base with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder before adding the Rectangle Stitched die cut layer. The Mercury Glass Designer Acetate is actually an off cut from our Snow Globe class but can also be achieved with circle dies.
I added both ribbons and the glimmer sprig before adhering the coloured Happy Tails dog with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The dog was stamped like before but I stepped it up by adding the spots then colouring with Smoky Slate Stampin Blends Combo Markers. I then finished the card with the punched trio of hearts.
I do hope you enjoyed these projects. Don’t forget to come back and order any Stampin’ Up! products online from Mitosu Crafts or from your local Stamp Review Crew Design Team.
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
