Wildly Happy Foxes in Watercolor Pencils
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay here with this month’s creative tutorial with the Wildly Happy foxes in Watercolor Pencils for the Creating Kindness blog hop.
Creating Kindness Blog Hop
The Creating Kindness Design Team are a group of independent demonstrators around the world sharing our papercraft ideas every 1st Thursday of the month. Our theme this time is ‘Favourite Techniques’, with special guest designer, the wonderful Christine Versluis of My Stamping Art.
You may have arrived here from Stampinantics by Paula Dobson if you’re already hopping along. Such a stunning creation from Paula as always! I’m sure you will find more fabulous projects from the Design Team so be sure to hop all the way around for more cardmaking inspiration.
Wildly Happy Foxes
The Wildly Happy foxes is a great image to share with you my current favourite technique which is colouring with the Watercolor Pencils. They are easy to work with which makes them great for beginners but also for advanced crafters.
I combined the cute foxes with another stamp set for the background, To A Wild Rose and Wild Rose Dies Bundle. The card base was stamped first with the leaves in Old Olive ink. I then die cut the aperture on Smoky Slate layer and added a strip of card across the middle for support before adhering with Dimensionals. Using Tear & Tape, I added the Black Satin Ribbon, hiding the card strip support underneath. The die cut leaves were placed before the coloured foxes and finished with the sentiment.
Colouring Techniques with Video Tutorial
I created another card colouring the Wildly Happy foxes with a video tutorial below. You can then continue along the video hop from the participant list underneath.

Your coloring on the foxes is beautiful! I’m going to try it but doubt mine will look anything like yours. 🙂

Wow Jay. This is just fabulous. I could watch you colour all day! Those foxes are adorable and superbly coloured. Using the chalk pen is genius! x
