Daisy Lane Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!

The new Daisy Lane stamp set from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue is out now and it’s such a great design to coincide with the Paper Craft Crew challenge this week!

Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts! Thanks for stopping by today, it’s Jay here sharing my DT project for the Paper Craft Crew card sketch #PCC339

Barry and I are currently on our holiday, cruising the fjords in Norway but I just had to join in with the rest of the design team.

I created my card last week but didn’t get round to blogging it. I am sat on top of our Azura ship, drinking a cocktail whilst writing this blog post. We are docked at Flåm and will be heading to Ålesund in a couple of hours. So I have until then to finish my post before I lose my signal. It should be fine and it’s such a lovely change of scenery whilst writing a blog post.

Anyways, here is my card using the card sketch above…

Daisy Lane Watercolour Pencil Card

Seeing as the new catalogue has just launched and we were given the Daisy Lane stamp set for free when we were at OnStage back in April, I thought it fitting to use the set.

To create this Watercolour Pencil Card on Crumb Cake cardstock, I used Versamark to stamp the daisy and stalk image four times. The Chalk Marker comes in handy to lighten the cardstock and allowed me to use the Watercolour Pencils for the detailing.

The Chalk Marker was also used for the highlights and the dots around the topper. For the splatters, I flicked Crumb Cake Combo Stampin’ Blends followed by Early Espresso with Aqua Painter.

The Linen Thread was wrapped around the topper four times before sticking the white heat embossed sentiment on Basic Gray along the side. These were then adhered with dimensionals for added height on the card base. To finish off, I looped the Linen Thread around my fingers and created a quadruple bow and added the sequins to follow the card sketch.
