Sometimes you are asked to make a cards for which a stamp set just doesnโt exist or fit in exactly with what you need for the occasion. Itโs my eldestโs birthday and unsurprisingly she knew exactly what she wanted โ a gecko card.
After searching through the various Stampinโ Up! sets I have available I decided nothing fit the bill. Back to the drawing (or in my case โstampingโ) board.
The latest
Her beautiful colouring inspired me to try recreating it as a background using the sponge daubers and several ink pads.
What do you think? A simple ribbon and birthday message embossed in silver to match the silver layer finish this card off neatly.
I really enjoyed creating this bespoke background โ it was so simple to do and really is a unique card for my unique daughter!
