Thank you for joining us for our “By Royal Appointment Guest Blog”. This is something we’ll be doing every Monday and each week we will be welcoming a different designer from our amazing team, the Royal Stampers.

Who’s our Designer?

So this week our guest designer is Deb Cooper who is a fellow Royal Stamper. A huge thank you to her for this project. All the details can be found below which will also link to Debs website so you can look at other beautiful creations by Deb. If you would like to purchase any of the Stampin’ Up! items used for this project, click on the product photos below. You will be taken to our Online Shop where you can find more information and order craft products 24/7.

Enjoy the amazing creativity from Sue and if you have any questions, please drop us a message.

Sometimes you are asked to make a cards for which a stamp set just doesnโ€™t exist or fit in exactly with what you need for the occasion. Itโ€™s my eldestโ€™s birthday and unsurprisingly she knew exactly what she wanted โ€“ a gecko card.

After searching through the various Stampinโ€™ Up! sets I have available I decided nothing fit the bill. Back to the drawing (or in my case โ€˜stampingโ€™) board.

The latest edition to our busy household is a Lavender Morph leopard gecko called Sklya. Iโ€™ve learnt a lot about leopard geckos in the last 4 weeks and mostly that they arenโ€™t as scary as I first thought!

Her beautiful colouring inspired me to try recreating it as a background using the sponge daubers and several ink pads.

What do you think? A simple ribbon and birthday message embossed in silver to match the silver layer finish this card off neatly.

I really enjoyed creating this bespoke background โ€“ it was so simple to do and really is a unique card for my unique daughter!
