Fold Flat Gift Bag Idea with Lots of Happy Kit ~ Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge #PCC280
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts and thanks for stopping by. It’s Wednesday which means another project idea from me for the Paper Craft Crew Challenges ~ Card Sketch #PCC280
For my project today, I created an alternative use with the elements from one of the cards in the Lots of Happy all-inclusive Card Kit. You can make 20 cards (4 each of 5 gorgeous designs) from the kit but for those who likes making something different or if you got the Card Kit Refill, how about this idea for your next project?
I used the card sketch to decorate a Fold Flat Gift Bag instead! Well, I thought card sketches can be used for gift bag decorations as it’s made from cardstock, right? LOL
The idea for the Fold Flat Gift Bag actually came from our Stampin’ Up! website and I really wanted to make one. It had the recipe for the products needed but no instructions or measurements, so I made my own from a piece of Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock
Gift Bag 6″ x 4 3/4″ x 2″
Folded Flat 6″ x 6 3/4″
Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock 8″ x 11 1/2″
score at 1″& 7″ then turn 90˚
score at 4 3/4″& 6 3/4″
To decorate the bag, I stamped the flower cluster in Sahara Sand. I then snipped a strip of gold foil (which is an off cut from the kit) as a replacement for the bottom sentiment from the sketch. I used the Watercolour Pencils in the kit to colour the floral topper and added Wild Wasabi ink with Aqua Painters. Vellum leaves were tucked in between before adhering the punched DSP (again from the kit) with the Cat Punch. I stamped the sentiment on an off-cut of Sahara Sand cardstock from our stash and stuck on with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I opted for the Birthday Mini Binder Clip to keep the bag closed
