Bird’s Eye View Congratulations Card Bonus Hop
Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here sharing Bird’s Eye View card idea for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop.
Bird’s Eye View Stamp Set
There’s nothing like the sweet sound of a bird singing to boost someone’s day. Use the Bird’s Eye View Stamp Set to do just that! With this stamp set, you can create your own aviary for the centrepiece of any card making project. The set includes five different bird images in a variety of sizes. Add quirky details to the birds using the monocle or eyeglasses stamps. Perch your birds on the top of a stack of books or a tree branch, also included the set. These stamps will work with any of our colouring tools so you can add a plethora of colour however you want. Pair with your favourite sentiments to complete your projects. Get ready for the birdwatch by snagging this set today!
Bird’s Eye View Congratulations Card
Barry and I were in London a couple of weeks ago and whilst walking around Southbank, we saw graduates outside the Royal Festival Hall. This reminded of my own graduation, many moons ago in the same venue. So I decided to create a Graduation card with the Bird’s Eye View mixed with other stamps and dies by Stampin’ Up!
I stamped the bird then added the glasses using Memento ink on Basic White card. Then coloured with Natural Tones and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. The stamp set doesn’t have coordinating dies so the bird was fussy cut using Paper Snips.
For the background, I used Citrus Blooms Dies. Die cutting the star shapes on the layer then using the die cuts for more texture and interest. I also used the leaves designs from the set on Basic Black card for more decoration.
Graduation Mortarboard with Nested Essentials Dies
I used the smallest lozenge die on Basic White card then shorten to a more diamond shape by die cutting again with the same die. The off cut was snipped into for the lower part of the graduation hat. Once constructed together, I coloured the top with Light Basic Black and the bottom in Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends.
The angle of the mortarboard guided the placement of the stamped sentiment from Sweetly Scripted stamp set.
I hope you’re inspired with this project and do more colouring yourself. You can practise your colouring with me on one of my Online Colouring Masterclass. Find more details of upcoming and available replays HERE
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
