I created a Thank You card and a poppy home decor for this month’s hop, inspired by poppy flowers on Remembrance Day
I coloured the flower from Love What You stamp set with Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends then fussy cut. The Whisper White background is actually embossed with the Lovely Floral DTIEF but is difficult to see in the photos
I applied Balmy Blue and Pacific Point on the wash design with daubers for a lighter shade then die cut with the oval design from Stitched Shapes Framelits set
The ribbon was coloured with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and the sentiment stamped in Tuxedo Black

The home decor frame was shop bought a long time ago, I took off the glass and made a backing to be able to fit the poppy flower inside
I created the poppy using a die from the Orchid Builder Framelits set. I cut the same die in Poppy Red cardstock 3 times, shaped the petals with Paper Snips scissors and adhered together
I brushed Clear Wink of Stella on Basic Black cardstock and used the 1/2″ Circle Punch for the centre, which was raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ‘floating’ flower was also adhered on the Subtle embossed background using 4 dimensionals to create the illusion
The poppy can also be turned into a pin or a brooch with the correct materials. They are so easy to create with the Orchid Builder dies, you can make a bunch of them for a wreath
