Mini Slimline Card with Hydrangea Haven
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here with a Mini Slimline card idea for The Spot creative challenge using Hydrangea Haven from the Mini Catalogue.
The Spot Creative Challenge #151
The Spot design team creates Stampin’ Up! inspirations for a weekly card making challenge every Tuesday. The challenge theme this week is Slimline Card, easy right?! You can choose your own colours and layouts. You can also combine this with 2 other challenges so get creative this week and join in.
Hydrangea Haven Bundle
This bundle is new to us so I decided to have a play, keeping to the colours from the Hydrangea Hill Suite. The stamp set comes with 22 photopolymer designs with some 2 Step Stamping. The bundle is currently 10% off with the coordinating Hydrangea Dies. Which has 9 designs to die cut entire flowers or build dimensional blooms!
Mini Slimline Card
The main challenge of a slimline card is the layout of the card elements. As I do have the tendency to want to fill the whole card front. There is no set dimensions for slimline cards, so long as they are long and thin, they are slimline ๐
So my solution is the Mini Slimline Card. It’s small enough to easily fill with stamping and die cuts and it will fit your C6 envelopes (with a bit of room too).
I kept the design simple with 2nd Generation and Repeat Stamping on the background. The full hydrangea bloom was stamped in Old Olive ink then die cut. Followed by wrapping the Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon around the card front and tying the Twine bow on the knot. I finished the card with the sentiment and Pastel Pearls.
