Quite Curvy Celebrations With Love
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here with a card idea for The Spot creative challenge using the NEW Quite Curvy Bundle available from 3rd November.

The Spot design team creates Stampin Up inspirations for a weekly card making challenge every Tuesday. The theme this week is ‘Plant, Kindness, Harvest, Love’. It does cover a number of different occasions, I am sure there’s one you need to create for this week so do enter your creations at The Spot blog.
Quite Curvy Bundle
The Quite Curvy stamp set is designed for variety of special occasions with 5 different sentiments out of 12 stamps in total. It coordinates with the Curvy Dies, cutting out 6 designs from the stamp set. The show stopper from the die set though are 3 curvy designs with intricate details along the curvy edges.
For my card today, I opted for the Love theme, making use of the leafy garland and 2 birds from the Quite Curvy set.
Watercolour Wash with Water Painters
I was experimenting on how to colour the leaves quite quickly and ended up doing a Watercolour Wash on normal Whisper White. The 3 strips of leafy garland were first stamped in Mossy Meadow ink then went over each leaf with the medium sized painter. The more water you apply, the less crisp the images will be, so be gentle. I also added hints of Shaded Spruce ink on some of the leaves before darkening the background with more Mossy Meadow. The 3 strips were then die cut and scrunched into a ball for added random texture.
The splatters on the Whisper White layer were created using Water Painters. Whilst the papers were drying, I stamped the 2 birds in Memento and coloured using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Ivory and Smoky Slate. I also masked one of the sentiment from the set and stamped ‘with love’ in Memento.
To compliment the Ivory coloured birds, I used Cinnamon Cider Ribbon and Champagne Rhinestones to finish the card on Soft Sea Foam cardbase.
