Stamping Sunday Blog Hop ~ Poinsettia Place DSP

Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop with the theme of Mini Catalogue DSP (Designer Series Paper). For my projects today, I opted for Poinsettia Place DSP to create a Christmas card and decor.

The Stamping Sunday design team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. We share themed card ideas and papercraft inspirations every 2nd Sunday of the month. Do make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team’s creative projects from the links at the end of this post.

Flip Top Pop Up Card with Poinsettia Place DSP

I designed this Flip Top Pop Up Christmas card so a 6″ x 6″ pattern paper will be enough to cover the front and inside! You can get 4 cards out of one 12″ x 12″ Sheet of DSP. Great WOW card to be sent to friends and family.

It is quite simple on the front. Changing the look of the Poinsettia Place DSP with a bit of sponging and spot colouring. I used Pear Pizzazz ink and Dark Poppy Parade to add colour. Then the sentiment in Soft Suede was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The DSP covers the inside as well but only with the spot colouring. The shimmery poinsettias takes centre stage as the pull tab automatically lifts the front cover.

Battery Tea Light Decor with Poinsettia Place DSP

My 2nd project for the hop uses 3″ x 12″ DSP, so another 4 in one 12″ x 12″ sheet. For the front display, the sponging technique was used again in the same colour. I then die cut the front with Pine Woods Dies to create an aperture and layered another Garden Green die cut on top.

The decoration this time consists of Forever Greenery Ribbon Trim and 3 Whisper White poinsettias with Red Rhinestone in the centre to keep it simple.

This table decor folds flat for storage (without the battery tea light of course). It can also be altered to be hanged just too by adding a loop of ribbon on top.

I hope you enjoyed these projects using Designer Series Papers from the Mini Catalogue. I have created another version of the Flip Top Pop Up with Trimming The Town Suite with tutorial available HERE.

Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
