TGCDT: October 2020 Colour Inspiration
Hello, Barry here & welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. Thanks for stopping by for The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team October hop. Today I’m sharing two projects, one using the Forever Fern Bundle and using some Colour Inspiration to help me along the way.
Colour Inspiration
As well as creating this project for this month #TGCDT I’m also taking the colour inspiration from the Global Design Project #GDP261 & combining it with their colour challenge for this week.
Firstly I made the card using the Forever Fern Stamp set but initially wasn’t happy with it. I knew something was missing and it just needed a bow and a couple of embellishments.
Sometimes it’s those small finishing touches that make a big difference.
For the second card I used the gorgeous Floral Essence Stamp set and made more of a feature by using Pumpkin Pie Coloured Card for the base and making the flowers pop by stamping in the darkest colour, Cajun Craze and the subtle colours from the Mint Macaron behind.
These are colours I wouldn’t normally put together and I really enjoyed mixing things up and stepping out of my comfort zone. What do you think, have I inspired you to use these colours?
