Shimmery Little Ladybug on Black Card
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay here with a card idea using the shimmery Little Ladybug from a previous facebook live with Thoughtful Blooms for Paper Craft Crew challenge.

It’s a card sketch this week which I altered slightly, replacing the rectangular topper for a square one so I can use the Layering Squares Dies for a quick and easy frame.
Shimmery Little Ladybug with Thoughtful Blooms
I often colour the edges of a die cut image to blend with the cardbase like on this Little Ladybug image. Stamped in Memento then coloured with Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Ivory and Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Markers. I also added highlights with White Stampin’ Chalk Marker before applying Shimmery Crystal Effects.
The flourish from Thoughtful Blooms (FREE Sale-A-Bration Product) on the background was stamped in Craft White Ink before adding the frame on top. I wanted to incorporate the flowers from Thoughtful Blooms so I stamped it on Blueberry Bushel card in Memento ink a few times. These were punched with the coordinating Small Bloom Punch (another FREE Sale-A-Bration Product) which made the process quicker.
I snipped the Sea Side Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon thinner and blacken with Dark Basic Black Blends before laying over a black strip. This helped to make the banner stronger and enabled me to adhere it on Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The punched leaves in Old Olive Vellum were inserted around the topper before finishing with the white dots around the cardbase to follow the card sketch.
